Walking songs

Right now I'm having a bit of a conundrum. There is so much good music out there that I'm having a hard time figuring out which song to walk down the aisle to.

At first I was pretty convinced that I wanted Bittersweet Symphony, but as I was running yesterday (a whole other post in it's own right!) I was inspired by another song by Bloc Party which maybe feels slightly more current for me. But then again, I'm assured that Bittersweet Symphony is a classic. Funnily enough, both videos feature people walking!

Bittersweet Symphony

So Here We Are

Preferences? Any other fabulous suggestions for the perfect song for me?

I would go with a classic that you love, something timeless for you. I've had friends choose their song based on what is current and have regretted it because it goes out of fashion - at least if you choose a classic that you love, it will remain classic.

One of my friends swears that she is going to walk down the aisle to Bittersweet Symphony. While I can't make a suggestion for a different song, I would also go with something classic that you will like forever. This will be the song you recall when thinking of your wedding, so make sure it's something you will love forever. :)

hm. to me, the lyrics to bittersweet symphony seem a bit glum for a wedding: "You're a slave to money then you die", "I never pray but tonight I'm on my knees yeah... I need to hear some sounds that recognize the pain in me". and i'm not just saying that because i love bloc party!

Yay! A Bloc Party proponent! I just keep thinking of the fabulous show we went to. If I did use Bittersweet Symphony, it would be the instrumental version.

I think the Bloc Party is pretty inspiring. I love the words and the music... I don't think I could find an instrumental version, though.

Any other suggestions?

I walked down the aisle to the song from Juno, All I Want Is You, performed live by our singer/strummer/friend.
